First, before use, the total hardness "reagent 1" is diluted 5 times with distilled water according to the amount of use before use (for example:1 mL reagent plus 4mL of distilled water).
1.the preparation of blank samples

2.preparation of sample
When the total hardness concentration is (total hardness _L)0.10~5.00mg/L: take the sample to be tested 20.0mL in a clean color tube, add 1.0 mL reagent 1, add 2.0 mL test 2, shake the plug and place it for 5min.
When the total hardness concentration is (total hardness _H)5.0~50.00mg/L: take 2.0 mL sample in the color tube, supplement 18.0mL, add 1.0mL reagent 1, add 2.0mL reagent 2, plug well and place well for 5min.

6. After the testing is completed
After the measurement is completed, clean the colorlet tube and dry for later use. Shutdown the device and disconnect the power supply.
7. Principle of measurement
At pH 10.0, the acidic chromium blue K has the same maximum absorption wavelength as the complexes formed by calcium and magnesium, and generally agrees with ε Mg and ε Ca. Under certain conditions, the color of the complex is proportional to the total content of calcium and magnesium ions.
