I. Preparation before pipetting gun

3, set the volume: rotate the volume adjustment knob on the transfer gun to the desired volume scale, note that the action should be gentle, to avoid excessive force resulting in damage to the scale or loss of precision.

4. Aspirate liquid: Insert the pipette gun vertically below the liquid surface, slowly release the button to the first stop (usually the first gear), wait for a few moments so that the liquid enters into the pipette tip completely, and then slowly move the pipette gun out of the liquid surface to avoid air bubbles.

5、Discharge liquid: Move the pipette gun to the top of the receiving container, gently press it against the wall, and slowly press the button to the second stop (usually the second gear), so that the liquid is completely discharged. Be careful to control the speed to avoid liquid splashing or bubbles.

6. Release residual liquid: Continue to press the button to the very bottom to release the small amount of liquid remaining in the pipette tip to ensure the accuracy of the pipetted volume.

7. Disassemble the pipette gun tip: Gently remove the pipette tip from the pipette gun and properly dispose of the discarded tip to avoid cross contamination.

III. Precautions

1. Avoid cross contamination: Always replace the pipette tip with a new one every time you replace the liquid or sample.

2. Hold and place gently: Operate the pipette gun in a smooth and gentle manner to avoid violent shaking or impact.

3、Regular maintenance: Check the performance of the pipette gun regularly, if you find leakage, precision degradation, etc., it should be repaired or replaced in time.
